Scottish Wedding Photographers Can Guarantee The Weather!

Reportage Wedding Photography, Ayr were the first to introduce the reportage style of wedding photography, first to offer copyright free images as standard and now the first to introduce a weather guarantee.

If it rains so badly on your big day and you are unable to go outside for photographs, they will arrange with you to go back at a later date to take photographs outside.

Laura Brown, Photographer said, 'Weather is a huge issue in Scotland for many brides and we are always asked what we will do if it rains.  Fortunately, as as no-one can control the weather, the reportage style, means that regardless of weather you are guaranteed strong images which focus on the interaction of people.  That said, we also have to photograph the couple in the surrounding in which they got married - that's why they went to so much bother choosing a venue.  We appreciate that.  That's why we have introduced a weather guarantee, where if it rains throughout the wedding, with no opportunity for the couple to get some images outside, we'll go back when the weather's better and take those shots.  We realise its not quite the same, but it takes away the fear factor for our clients.'

Wedding Photos and Plans from Summer 2010

Summer 2010 has been our busiest season yet, with over half of our work coming from recommendations. We’ve had some great gigs across Scotland and met some fantastic folk along the way. It’s an honour to be invited along to one of the most important days in people’s lives. Thanks to everyone who has recommend us – as a result, we have not needed to advertise this year – so it helps keep our costs down and continue to offer quality at an affordable price.

From Ayr’s Brig O Doon House Hotel, to Forter Castle in the Highlands, and One Devonshire Gardens in the City, we’ve travelled to many interesting venues this year – and of course experienced a range of Scottish weather!

Business updates – we’ve added a couple of services to our range and we’re pleased to announce that we are now able to offer ‘two photographer’ weddings. We’ve also invested in some new gear and upgraded the ever faithful Apple MacIntosh!!!

In between our busiest season ever, we managed to grab a short break to Paris to visit the Henri Cartier Bresson Institute – the founder of Magnum Photos – in my opinion the best reportage photographer the world has ever seen. It was amazing and I recommend lovers of documentary photography visit if they’re ever in Paris.

We are now looking forward to winter weddings which will take us to more exciting venues like The Caves in Edinburgh and Blairqhuan in Ayrshire – and even a bit of island hopping to Arran.
